Sino-Dutch Pig Industry Seminar

Technical Innovation in Pork industry Chain Will Fully Promote Pork Products Upgrading
Deeper consolidation within the whole pork production chain has been rapidly developing in China. The Chinese pork industry is facing both rapid upward and downward vertical integration.

Meanwhile, a new virtual integration driven by Chinese e-commerce conglomerates is emerging. New virtual integration in the pork production chain sector involves online shopping providers partnering with dedicated upstream suppliers that are willing to meet higher and specific requirements on animal breeds, feeding, and food safety aspects. Technical innovation in pork industry chain will fully promote pork products upgrading.

What will be the opportunities and challenges of new virtual integration in the Chinese pig farming sector? How to response to this change? What will pig farming look like in the future? What Dutch technologies can help the Chinese pork production chain seize resulting opportunities? We would like to invite you to join us to explore these questions in depth and find new solutions together with Dutch pork chain experts.
