What do you think of the new challenges for the animal husbandry from the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic to the present stage? In what way will it influence the strategies in China and overseas market?
At the beginning of the epidemic, it did have some impact on China’s market. The shutdown of the city resulted in the stagnation for the animal husbandry industry. At present, foreign epidemic outbreaks causes all kinds of raw material prices and livestock farming costs to increase. Epidemic development, the development strategy in China and overseas markets must be changed. Face to face communication with overseas customers is temporarily impossible to realize, so online sales becomes inevitable.
In the face of the Covid-19 epidemic, the animal husbandry industry shows new vitality. What do you think of the future developments and changes? Which trends will be more obvious?
The future development of the animal husbandry industry must be the growth of online activities and online live broadcasting, but we still need to speed up the recovery and expansion of production capacity.
At present, China’s animal husbandry has basically returned to work and production, what valuable experiences can you share with domestic and foreign counterparts?
Keep the daily disinfection procedures in place, individuals should wear a mask, do not go to places where people gather, to make sure the epidemic will be over as soon as possible.
After the global pandemic eases, mainly in the second half of this year, will the market demand for products and technologies increase substantially?
Demand for animal proteins such as pork and poultry continues to grow due to ASF and Corona-19 outbreaks.
